Cos' I Said So...

Concerts have become a large part of my life even though I’ve only been to two. The thrill of listening to live music, screaming the lyrics with the rest of the crowded stadium and watching as the artists, who spent so much time creating this moment, perform their hearts out. It’s loud and crazy, but it is one of the best parts about the music industry.
Although it’s still a few months away, I am extremely excited to be going to one night of The Eras Tour when it comes to Santa Clara in late July. Taylor Swift is one of my favorite artists and having the opportunity to go to one of her biggest concerts will be a once in a lifetime experience.
The tour officially kicked off for its two-night run on March 18 in Glendale, Arizona or as it was renamed, Swift City, for those two nights. Since the first night, the setlist and videos of the concert have been swimming through both Instagram and TikTok, providing a look into what the Eras Tour will look like for those who were able to get tickets during the insanity of the pre-sale. For those who weren’t able to get tickets, the mini videos are a way for viewers to watch and experience the tour in a different way.
Containing 44 songs and a run time total of 3 hours and 11 minutes, the set list goes on a deep dive of almost every era in Swift’s musical career, with the only exceptions being “Speak Now” and her debut album. The set list looks amazing, ranging from her more popular songs on each album to a couple fan favorites that are less popular, but still known by most Swifties. The albums, “evermore” and “folklore,” which were both released during the lockdown in 2020, are finally getting the recognition and chance to be performed in front of thousands. I am especially excited to see and experience the “1989,” “reputation” and “Midnights” portion of the concert, since they are the only albums I could listen to without skipping any songs.
All in all, from what I’ve seen and heard about the tour, it will be one to remember. I am so ecstatic to be able to see my favorite artist perform some of my favorite songs live and be able to sing my heart out with other Swifites.
