Cos' I Said So...

At the start of every year, it has always been so much fun to look at what will finally come out, whether it's a new book, the next season for a TV series I love or a movie I’ve been waiting for. Each new year brings out something new in the entertainment industry, whether it is fantastic, just good or absolutely terrible. It may be March, but there is still so much to look forward to this year.
The Netflix original coming out this year that I am just dying to watch is season two of the book adaptation “Shadow and Bone.” Reading “Shadow and Bone” and the other series in the Grishaverse was exciting, and watching the show and seeing this world come to life was absolutely exhilarating. Season one was amazing, despite some of its changes to the story, but that's what made it so great. From what I’ve heard, it will take both stories from the second and third books of “Shadow and Bone” and if it's executed well, then it will probably be better than season one.
Movie-wise, there is a lot to look forward to. Fans of “The Hunger Games” are extremely excited for the upcoming release of “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes,” the book to movie adaptation of the prequel and I am extremely excited for this movie. I’ve been a fan of this series for three years and even with the other books I’ve read in the past four years, “The Hunger Games” series will be one that will always have a special place in my heart. When “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” came out three years ago, this entire fandom was reminded why this series is one of the best that has come out in the past 15 years. The movies made after the book's release are also some of the best book to movie adaptations out there and it won’t be a surprise if this one is the same.
There is so much to look forward to this year, so much to watch and read. The excitement to finally read or watch something I’ve been waiting for since it was announced. It’s always the best part of each new year and hopefully, this content will live up to my expectations.
