The Pursuit of Excellence Foundation Scholarship is a program based in the Bay Area tailored to help low-income students who are demonstrating determination in their academic studies. The program, being offered for the 4th year at Pioneer, provides financial assistance for students to ensure they have the necessary resources to succeed in college. The financial support covers tuition, educational materials and living expenses.

Clubs are a great way for students to find people with similar interests and backgrounds and an opportunity to make friends. Currently, there are five different cultural clubs on campus: Black Student Union, South Asian Student Alliance, Asian Student Association, Persian Club and the Pacific Islander Club.

Now that clubs have returned for the 2023 school year, Pioneer’s campus is officially starting to return to normal once again. Clubs on campus allow students to involve themselves with extracurriculars and interests on campus, all while enjoying its various perks. Whether it's for college, friendship or new experiences, all clubs present growing ambitions within our campus community.

After its noticeable absence for the fall semester, the Peer Tutoring program recently returned with the goal of providing more support to students and teachers during FLEX periods. Although the program started with a focus on math, support for other subjects will also be provided.

As I begin my final semester of high school, the reality of this year is starting to set in. I will soon leave my family, friends and everything that I know, to continue my education further. Although scary, I know that this is one way to help me reach the goals I have set for myself in the past couple of years, which is an extremely exciting thing to fulfill.
