Drama Tackles Online Theater
Advanced drama has prepared a virtual tribute show based on "Little Shop of Horrors" for the end of the semester
By Isabella Wight
This online semester has proven to be challenging for many classes, especially those that rely on being in person to function. One of these classes, advanced drama, has been working on the “Little Shop Of Horrors” Virtual Tribute Show, called “Mean, Green, & In Quarantine.”

"Inside Pixar" Isn't Interesting
The new documentary series about the animation studio fails to meet expectations
By Saya Fujii
Pixar is a name we are all familiar with, as it belongs to the animation studio that created some of the most iconic kids movies such as “Toy Story,” “Cars” and “Finding Nemo.” Now, with the new documentary series, “Inside Pixar,” we get a chance to see what happens inside the studio, and where all the inspirations and creativity come from.

PS5's Successful Yet Limited Launch
Sony's Playstation 5 has released for the few that got the opportunity to order one By Riley Fink Two days after the new Xboxes, the Playstation 5 hit store shelves on Nov. 12, or rather website shelves, as no retailers will have in store stock until at least 2021 to prevent people from camping outside during a pandemic. With online launches come bots and scalpers, so for anyone looking to get any of the next generation consoles this holiday season, it will undoubtedly prove to be a difficult or expensive process. That being said, I managed to nab one in the six minute window where they were available at Target, so let’s get into my first impressions with the system. |
New Hyrule Warriors Game Hits Nintendo
Prequel to Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild travels back a hundred years to the Age of Calamity
By Jocelyn Cosgrove
Fans of the Legend of Zelda games were surprised on Sept. 8, when Nintendo dropped the first trailer for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, a sort-of prequel to Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Hyrule Warriors is a part of Koei Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors series, but its plot is still connected to Breath of the Wild.

"Half Brothers" Hunt for Family History
Saga of two brothers meeting for the first time is a lighthearted and fun buddy comedy
By Ethan Percival
“Half Brothers,” which released on Dec. 4, is a comedy and drama film directed by Luke Greenfield, best known for 2004’s “The Girl Next Door,” and 2014’s “Let’s Be Cops.” You can stream “Half Brothers” on Amazon Prime, YouTube, Google, or Vudu.
Coming into the movie, I was expecting a campy, second-rate comedy, but I was pleasantly surprised. “Half Brothers” isn’t a cinematic masterpiece, nor was anyone expecting it to be.

Watch Dogs: All Bark, No Bite
The ambitious Watch Dogs: Legion manages to give a few fun hours but falls short of a groundbreaking experience
By Tyler Lilly
Ubisoft's latest entry, Watch Dogs Legion, is an ambitious title that manages to deliver a fun experience, but a relatively shallow one. The main hook of the game is the “play as anyone” feature. In simple terms, you can play as anyone you find on the map including enemies. You unlock the character by doing a small favor for them called recruitment missions. In theory this is a really cool system, but in practice it feels a bit too simple.

Surviving 2020 with an Album
New Bring Me the Horizon EP manages to change up and also reinforce their old sound in a captivating way
By Tyler Lilly
This year has been jam-packed with music, from Machine Gun Kelly’s surprisingly amazing pop punk album, to Poppy’s stunning “I Disagree,” to even a good Taylor Swift album, this year has had some amazing music and I am happy to say that “Post Human Survival Horror” continues that trend.

Riley Reviews
By Riley Fink
In my extremely lucky position with nailing a PS5 at launch, I’ve been playing a ton of Bluepoint’s Demon’s Souls remake and it’s gotten me to think a lot more about remakes in general. Namely, when I played the original Demon’s Souls last year, which to those who are unaware is the lesser known older brother to the famous game Dark Souls, I found myself not playing far into it out of indifference.
