Coach Katie's Corner

After an impressive win against the Boston Celtics to claim the 2021-22 NBA Finals title, I’m excited to see what the Golden State Warriors have in store for this upcoming season.
With seasoned veterans Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Kevon Looney and Andrew Wiggins, I think the team will be in good condition to give any opponent a run for their money. In the hopes that another key component to their team, Andre Iguodala, decides against retiring this year, it only adds to the Warriors depth in various positions.
Add Jordan Poole, James Wiseman and two of our star rookies from last year Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody into the mix, we’re almost guaranteed to have another impressive season.
Unfortunately the Warriors did lose some of their key players in the offseason, Otto Porter Jr, Juan Toscano-Anderson and Gary Payton II, which could hurt the team in the beginning of the season as they will be working on getting back into the swing of things.
Even though I’m excited to see what JaMychal Green and Donte DiVincenzo will bring to the team, I’m a bit sad to see the three leave the team.
I can’t wait to see what this season of basketball will bring to the Warrior community.
