Cos' I Said So...

If someone asked me what has been my favorite moment in high school, I wouldn’t know what to say right away. There have been so many good memories and fun experiences, like prom, senior sunrise and even more. If I could think of one to pick, it would have to be covering almost every one of the drama performances for the past three years.
The first show I ever went to and took photos at was the dress rehearsal of “Schmigadoon!” as a little baby sophomore. My best friend was in the performance, and as the entertainment editor, I had to go take pictures for the article I was writing. I was so nervous, for reasons I can no longer remember, but it turned out to be one of the best times I’ve had as a student journalist. Being by myself, sliding around on the floor trying to get the perfect shots and watching the drama students perform all of their hard work felt like something else.
Every performance since then has felt much like the first, but with each time I went, I got to meet more of the drama students and became friends with them. It became less of a commitment for my newspaper class, and more of something I actively looked forward to. I would be excited for the next dress rehearsal I could go to and take as many pictures as possible. I was surrounded by people who worked hard to perfect the parts they played and it was all put together with so much talent and passion.
