Jackson Taylor, 11, has been with the lacrosse program for two seasons and has been making a positive impact on the team.
Head coach Mike Rosenbaum feels Taylor’s skill set is lethal to other team’s defenses.
“His speed and control help to make Jax a threat whenever he dodges to the goal and he continually calibrates his shots to become increasingly more accurate,” said Rosenbaum.
Midfielder Kunaal Pendse, 10, feels that Taylor has not only been a threat to opposing defenses, but also a vital mentor to his teammates.
“He helps all the players by teaching them the game, giving his personal advice and all around just helping the team. He also helps the newer players to make sure they are playing correctly,” said Pendse.
Faceoff midfielder Christian Abalos, 11, feels that Taylor is a team player spreading the wealth to his teammates as well as giving them confidence in and before games.
“On the field he always tries to get me to score and passes to me and off the field he hypes me up,” said Abalos.
Rosenbaum sees Taylor’s dedication to the sport, always showing up to practice and even working on skills on his own time.
“He continually is building his skills outside of practice by putting in the extra time needed to elevate and fine tune his talent. His dedication to the sport during and in the offseason has helped to develop these skills even further,” said Rosenbaum.
